Diageo has extended its Gordon’s gin range with the launch of a limited edition orange-flavoured expression.

The launch of Gordon’s Mediterranean Orange Distilled Gin follows a string of new releases from the gin brand including a white peach variant last month (March) and a Sicilian lemon flavour in February 2020.

Gordon’s Pink sold 1.21 million nine-litre cases globally in 2018, making it “the most successful new spirit product development in the last decade”, according to Nielsen insight outlined by Diageo.

The new 37.5% ABV bottling is described as having a “zesty orange” taste profile and is made with Mediterranean oranges. The gin’s orange notes are said to complement the juniper and “refreshing taste” of Gordon’s.

The orange variant is recommended served over ice with 150ml chilled tonic water, and garnished with a wedge of orange and a sprig of fresh rosemary.

Gordon’s Mediterranean Orange Distilled Gin is available from select convenience stores and UK supermarket chain Tesco. It is priced at RRP £16.50 (US$20.75) per 700ml.
