Brown-Forman and Beam Suntory stop advertisement financing on social networks from July 1. This is due to a desire to halt the provocation of hatred in social media.

Such a lead was begun by 6 public organizations last month. They called on companies to “affect against hatred and misinformation” propagated on Facebook.

This trend has already been followed by the world’s largest producer of alcoholic beverages Diageo and have ceased funding for their promotion.

This week, Beam Suntory made the following claim:

“We do what we see fit, and we support everyone who joins #StopHateForProfit to fight hate speech, racism, and prejudice.” This led to a pause of publicity campaigns in the largest social networks.

In addition to the advertising boycott, large companies began to provide financial assistance to minorities in their area of activity.

This week, Constellation Brands announced that it is investing $100 million in a minority-owned alcohol business as part of a new 10-year program.

In addition, Nearest Green Distillery and Jack Daniel from Brown-Forman will allocate $5 million as part of a new lead to extend diversity in the American whiskey industry.
